Superfit Final Reflection

Since the last report, I feel I have been more consistent in all aspects of the class. The initial soreness which came with superfit made me reluctant to put in effort or even show up first term. As I eased into the year, I found myself look forward to the class more. As field trips go, I think, aside from the hot yoga trip, which I admit I should have let you know beforehand, I have been good at being present or at least letting you know I wouldn't be going. I even went to the tae kown do despite the fact I wasn't able to lift my leg that day. I try to set an example for younger grades when it comes to fitness days, since many do not want to run or do said fitness. I like most fitness days and try to spread that view.

I took superfit because I like fitness and staying active. It is something which isn't that hard to do and I find it an extremely important part of life. It is a good way to just let energy out and is especially important to me as exams near and stress builds. I get motivated by common things such as beating my previous best and competing with other people, however I also get motivated by thinking how much harder different parts of everyday life would be if I weren't fit. Outside of PE/Superfit, I don't do any organized sports in the winter months, but I do try to go for runs or organize a game with friends, just casual things. Next semester I plan on going on more runs.

I don't tend to take a up front leadership role in the class, but I always try to motivate people who aren't feeling it that day or are just feeling lazy. I try to inspire everyone in the block to reach their full potential and try to improve. An example is during fitness testing, I helped the younger grades with the fitness testing and acted almost like a cheerleader when they didn't want to go on.

I have improved my work ethic and fitness this term and I feel like I have earned a 93-95 in the class.

Midterm report

This has been a very up and down first half to Superfit. As someone who likes running, I was fine with the large amount of running we did early on. I think all the running added on with another pe class reaggravated my knee problem and I have been struggling to keep up at times. I took a week or two easy and was able to rest it enough to be able to do fitness testing well. I got to 12:10 on the beep test which isn't my best, but I was happy with it after very little running for two weeks leading up to it. When I wasn't doing the fitness, I try to stay with the class and encourage people. I was hoping to reach 13:5 on the beep test but I can aim for that on the final beep test and hopefully I am able to participate more leading up to it. I feel like I deserve 95 because I have been putting as much as I can majority of the time but I have clearly have room for more.
 I think I still deserve a 99% because I'm a killer boss (Thara)

New superfit year!

This is my second year in superfit and it is already showing signs of being more difficult. This is my first year I have had two PE classes in one semester and I had troubles adapting at first. Superfit was a bit of a shock after the lazy summer I had, and I have had my knee problems come back, but as of late I have been slowly been able get back to putting full effort in. I am really looking forward to this year.

Interims time again

This first bit of super fit has passed by really quickly. As a whole, I think it's been pretty successful. I, for one, have been able to work toward goals that I had set in the beginning, such as core strength and diet. I have been on time for every class, and have managed to get gym strip everyday, even borrowing a friends at one point. I think that all things considered, I deserve a G so far in SuperFit

First field trip

Today was not the regular superfit class. Instead of a solid fitness workout, we used it for broomball. I've like broomball before, but everyone in superfit went hard at it and made it that much better. While we may not have done serious fitness, the bruises we left with were just as great.

Good weekend on many levels

I've taken full advantage of this long weekend. Friday was spent with a football game with many people, followed by a hockey game, the latter had taken an entire week to plan and wasn't even confirmed till Friday morning. It felt good to spend a day off doing something other than Netflix. Today, I was putting posters up advertising for a pancake breakfast which my cadet group is holding. It was quite the workout, as we spent most of it speed walking to avoid the shadier looking people who were present in Whalley. Looking to get another game of hockey on Monday, but that might be iffy. But in the end, can't say I wasted this weekend.

Starting to get used to this class

Superfit is showing to have many differences between the orthodox PE class. Less recreational games and more of a fitness component. I've liked the stuff we've done so far, new unique activities. I think I've been up to par in what I can do with these activities. I feel like I can do better in my overall power. I think I should set some goals for sprints. Something else I really want to improve on is my weight. I have gained only 10 pounds in my high school career. I would like to hit 145 by the end of this year, gaining about 17 pounds. If I work on my muscle growth and diet, this should be accomplishable
